Small‑batch grown - Clean, dense, and beginner‑friendly

Give your tiniest critters the best possible start with Puffer Pantry’s Live Infusoria, a clean, balanced community of microscopic life perfect for newborn fry, shrimp larvae, nano fish, and microfauna‑rich aquariums. This is the gentle, natural first food that hobbyists have relied on for generations — now crafted with modern consistency and artisan care. These cultures are nourished with my own small‑batch phyto, giving your fry a richer, more complete first food.
Intentionally cultured in small batches in my solar‑powered microfauna farm, grown with the same care I give my own tanks for freshness and quality you can see.
Each culture contains a thriving mix of ciliates, flagellates, rotifers, protozoa, and beneficial bacteria — the same organisms that naturally bloom in healthy, established aquariums. This is not cloudy tank water or random jar culture; it’s a curated, stable micro‑ecosystem designed to support delicate fry and boost biodiversity in any freshwater setup.

What It’s Great For
- First food for tiny fry (bettas, gourami, tetras, rasboras, cichlids, etc.)
- Shrimp larvae & baby shrimp
- Nano fish & microfauna systems
- Seeding new tanks with biodiversity
- Feeding copepods, scuds, and daphnia
- Conditioning sponge filters with micro‑life

What You’ll Receive
Choose your culture size:

Every bottle is freshly harvested from my solar‑powered microfauna farm and bottled to order to ensure density, and peak viability on arrival.

How to Use
For Feeding Fry & Shrimp
- Add a small amount directly to the tank
- Water should lightly haze, then clear as fry consume it
- Safe for all freshwater species
For Starting Your Own Culture
- Add your starter to aged tank water
- Provide indirect light
- Add a tiny amount of food (lettuce leaf, mulm, or phyto)
- Swirl gently once a day to oxygenate
Infusoria cultures bloom quickly and can be maintained indefinitely with light feeding.

Storage
- Keep at room temperature
- Do not refrigerate
- Swirl daily
- Feed lightly if storing long‑term
