Meet Puffer Pantry’s Tetraselmis Marine Phytoplankton, a lively, nutrient‑dense microalgae beloved by reef keepers, copepod breeders, and freshwater hobbyists alike. This bright green, fast‑swimming phyto is packed with fatty acids, amino acids, and natural pigments that support healthier microfauna, stronger fry, and more stable ecosystems.
Intentionally cultured in small batches in my solar‑powered microfauna farm, grown with the same care I give my own tanks for freshness and quality you can see.
Although Tetraselmis is a marine microalgae, it’s completely safe and incredibly effective in freshwater systems when used correctly. It doesn’t survive long‑term in freshwater, which means it becomes an instant, nutrient‑rich food source for scuds, daphnia, copepods, shrimp, and fry without altering your tank’s salinity.

What You’ll Receive

Choose your size:
- 4 oz Culture – perfect for small tanks or routine dosing
- 8 oz Culture – great for multiple tanks or heavy feeders
Every batch is freshly harvested from my solar‑powered microfauna farm and bottled to order to ensure purity, density, and peak freshness on arrival.

How to Use

For Feeding Tanks
- Add 1–5 mL per 10 gallons daily or as needed
- Safe for both freshwater and marine systems
- Expect a soft green tint that clears as your microfauna consume it

For Starting Your Own Culture
- Add your starter to clean saltwater (1.018–1.022 SG)
- Provide bright light (12–16 hours/day)
- Add F/2 or your preferred phyto fertilizer
- Aerate gently for best growth and movement

Storage

- Refrigerate if not using immediately
- Swirl daily & before each use
- Best used within 2–3 weeks for peak activity
