Puffer Pantry’s Chlorella Freshwater Microalgae is a vibrant, nutrient‑rich culture grown in small batches for maximum freshness and purity. This isn’t just “green water” — it’s a powerhouse microalgae that supports healthier shrimp, thriving fry, stable microfauna populations, and clean biological balance.
Intentionally cultured in small batches in my solar‑powered microfauna farm, grown with the same care I give my own tanks for freshness and quality you can see.
Our Chlorella is freshwater Chlorella vulgaris, cultured in RO water with premium F/2 nutrients for a clean, consistent, reliable product. Every batch is dense, bright, and free from contaminants, mulm, or off‑odors. It’s the perfect daily supplement for any freshwater keeper who wants stronger colonies and more stable ecosystems. Whether you’re feeding shrimp, boosting daphnia production, conditioning breeding tanks, or seeding new setups with microfauna — this culture does the heavy lifting for you.

How to Use

For Feeding Tanks

- Add 1–5 mL per 10 gallons daily or as needed
- Water should tint a soft green without clouding
- Safe for all freshwater species

For Starting Your Own Culture

- Add your starter to clean RO or dechlorinated water
- Provide bright light (12–16 hours/day)
- Add F/2 or your preferred phyto fertilizer
- Aerate gently for best growth

Storage

- Keep refrigerated if not using immediately
- Shake gently before each use
- Best used within 2–3 weeks for peak freshness

Live Culture Shipping Schedule and Temperature Policy

We ship out Monday-Wednesday only to ensure our live cultures arrive fresh! Orders placed after 12:00pm PST Wednesday will be shipped out the following Monday.

Note: We currently only ship to the U.S. and do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii at this time.

To keep your live cultures safe in transit, Puffer Pantry ships only when temperatures support a healthy arrival.

We do not ship when:  

- Origin or destination temperatures are below 35°F  

- Origin or destination temperatures are above 95°F

If temperatures fall outside this range, your order will be held until conditions improve.
